One of the form sides in Serie A is at home this weekend and these Lazio vs. Salernitana predictions confirm that the Biancocelesti are now a force to be reckoned with.

Lazio vs. Salernitana odds

1 – Lazio to win – 1/2

2 – Under 2.5 goals scored – 13/10

3 – Felipe Anderson to score at any time – 7/4

4 – Both teams not to score  – 1/1

5 – Lazio to win 2-0 after 90 minutes – 7/1

While most of the Serie A attention has been on Napoli and the Milan clubs, while also noting the misfortunes of Juventus, it is Lazio that have quietly gone about their business and climbed the table. Maurizio Sarri’s side are now in third – and could go even higher this weekend.

That Lazio’s success has continued without the talismanic Ciro Immobile is even more remarkable. Atalanta had no answer for a re-jigged Lazio last weekend and it does seem as though the club will be able to get through Immobile’s injury absence without too much trouble.

Felipe Anderson scored in the win over Atalanta, playing as a false nine, and he could get a few chances in this one as well – making him an excellent option to score at any time.

Salernitana will need to figure out how to stop a Lazio team that have beaten Inter as well this season. But it won’t be easy considering the home side’s excellent defensive record this campaign. Lazio have only conceded five in 11 Serie A games – and none at all in their last six.

After struggling to turn draws into wins earlier in the season, Davide Nicola’s side have managed to record a few victories now but could struggle in the Stadio Olimpico. Any kind of positive result would be a huge achievement really.

Salernitana have won two of the last three but have only taken three points away from home this season. That suggests they could be in for a tough time in Rome on Sunday evening.

Lazio team news

Sarri should use Felipe Anderson here as he did so successfully against Atalanta, with Immobile still ruled out. He will also need to replace the suspended Manuel Lazzari, with Elseid Hysaj the obvious candidate to come into the side.

Salernitana team news

Davide Nicola, who is now getting help from the recently retired Franck Ribéry, should stick with the starting eleven that won three valuable points at home against Spezia last week. Polish striker Krzysztof Piatek will be pushing to make the team but may have to make do with a place on the bench again.
