But the Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolò Schira has reported that the league leaders are currently working on a renewal, having offered the Spain international a new deal until 2025.

But the Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolò Schira has reported that the league leaders are currently working on a renewal, having offered the Spain international a new deal until 2025.
His current deal expires in June 2022 and Schira writes that a potential new deal will reward him with a salary of €3m a year plus bonuses.
The 27-year-old arrived from Liverpool on a €4m transfer in August 2016 and has since played 124 games for Lazio, contributing 24 goals and 40 assists in his three and a half seasons with the club.
