Lazio star Ciro Immobile trained on the pitch ahead of tomorrow’s Europa League clash with Feyenoord and Sunday’s Derby Della Capitale but is not expected to be back against Roma.

The Italy international suffered a bicep injury last month and was expected to remain out of action until 2023.

However, Lazio hope their star striker will be available before the World Cup break.

The 32-year-old trained on the pitch this morning while his teammates were preparing for Thursday’s Europa League clash against Feyenoord.

Immobile was seen running around the pitch in sneakers and didn’t join his teammates for today’s training session, continuing training in the gym.

Immobile won’t join the team in The Netherlands but hopes to be available on Sunday when Lazio face Roma in the Derby Della Capitale.

However, it is unlikely that Immobile will recover in time for Sunday’s big match, so Maurizio Sarri hopes his star striker will make it for next week’s match against Monza or the away clash at the Allianz Stadium against Juventus, the final game of the year in Serie A.
