Lazio have agreed personal terms with Ivan Ilic, according to Sportitalia, but negotiations continue with Hellas Verona to work out a transfer fee.

The 21-year-old Serbia international has also been linked with Atalanta, as well as clubs outside of Italy, following a strong season at the Stadio Bentegodi.

The creative midfielder contributed two goals and five assists in 34 competitive games for Verona this term and is under contract until June 2026.

Ilic is a product of the Manchester City youth academy who joined Verona on loan in 2020 and then made the move permanent for €7.5m a year later.

According to Sportitalia and Gazzetta dello Sport transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, Ilic has agreed personal terms with Lazio and is eager to join Maurizio Sarri’s side.

However, the two clubs are still working on a deal, as Verona want €13-15m to sell the player, who has three senior caps for Serbia under his belt.
