It hasn’t just been an important day for Inter on the transfer market, but also agreeing terms to extend coach Simone Inzaghi’s contract.

The club headquarters in Milan has been the centre of the Calcio news with various agents coming and going, including representatives of Alessandro Bastoni, Milan Skriniar, Paulo Dybala and Andrea Cambiaso.

Tullio Tinti is the agent of both defender Bastoni and coach Inzaghi, so Sky Sport Italia are confident he was there primarily to finalise the details of Inzaghi’s new deal.

The 46-year-old was appointed last summer after Antonio Conte walked away and penned a contract until June 2023.

It was a successful season, just missing out on the Scudetto, but winning the Coppa Italia and SuperCoppa Italiana, as well as reaching the Champions League Round of 16.

The directors are very pleased with his performance on the bench and have decided to extend his stay at San Siro until June 2024.

A formal announcement is expected some time over the next week.
