Lautaro Martinez has assured that Inter’s 2-1 defeat to Juventus will act as “a stimulus for us to improve”.

Lautaro’s 18th-minute penalty was not enough for Inter, who suffered their first Serie A loss of the season, and the forward accepted his side were not yet on Juve’s ‘level’.

“I feel a beautiful responsibility,” he said after Argentina’s 2-2 draw with Germany.

“I know what it means and therefore I try to give my best in every game and prepare myself as best as I can on the field.

“I feel a beautiful responsibility,” he said after Argentina’s 2-2 draw with Germany.

“I know what it means and therefore I try to give my best in every game and prepare myself as best as I can on the field.

“I want to do well with Inter so I can stay here, play with my teammates and give everything for the Argentine national team.

“For now, I’m focused on the national team. We’ll talk about the match against Juve when we all meet again.

“We’ll analyse the mistakes that led to the defeat, but we’ll think about it on our return to the club.

“Juventus are a very good team, I also said that straight after the game. We’ll work to reach their level.

“The defeat hasn’t been received as a negative signal but rather a stimulus for us to improve.”
