Today the London Evening Standard newspaper claimed Lamela was already in England to undergo a medical.
However, Sky Sport Italia spoke to Lamela later this afternoon and he assured them he was still in Rome.
That was confirmed at 17.00 UK time when he joined his teammates for a training session at Trigoria.
The 21-year-old was benched for Roma’s 2-0 Serie A win over Livorno on Sunday evening.
