Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is convinced the Partenopei will get a result against Rangers, although the victory against Liverpool ‘means nothing.’

The Partenopei are the Serie A table leaders with 14 points in six games and will face Rangers in the second Champions League group stage game on Wednesday.

The fixture was initially planned for Tuesday but has been rescheduled following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Napoli won the debut group stage game against Liverpool last week and are looking to get a positive result on Scottish soil.

“To play in the Champions League is the dream of every player. The game against Liverpool was special and beating one of the best teams in Europe shows what this team is capable of. Not just beating them, but the way we beat them,” Kvaratskhelia told the Daily Record newspaper.

“It is still early in the competition, but we are here to compete. The game against Liverpool was a result we enjoyed, but it means nothing for the next game against Rangers.

“They will be hurting from their loss against Ajax and at home, in front of their fans, they will want to get their Champions League campaign started.”

Rangers lost the first group stage game against Ajax 4-0, but play their first European home fixture of the campaign against the Partenopei.

“We know it will not be an easy place to go and there will be an electric atmosphere, but we are confident that we can and we’ll get a result,” concluded the Georgia international.

Napoli will travel to Scotland without the injured Victor Osimhen and Diego Demme and hope Hirving Lozano will recover in time for the match. The Mexico international didn’t train this morning due to the flu.
