Rade Krunic assures he is ready to make a success of his Milan “dream” and explains why Stefano Pioli is a better fit than Marco Giampaolo.

The midfielder has struggled to make an impact since his arrival at San Siro but started the match against Lazio last time out, and he is now hoping to kick on against Juventus this Sunday.

“They are the best team in the League, the hardest club to play against,” the 26-year-old told Tuttosport.

The midfielder has struggled to make an impact since his arrival at San Siro but started the match against Lazio last time out, and he is now hoping to kick on against Juventus this Sunday.

“They are the best team in the League, the hardest club to play against,” the 26-year-old told Tuttosport.

“We need a match like this because if we win, it changes a lot for us. We are lacking confidence, a big scalp like that might put us back on track.

“We are in the midst of a particular period, but we are determined to be stronger than we have shown so far.”

Despite a 2-1 defeat to Lazio on home soil, Krunic feels belief in Milan’s dressing room is on the up.

“We need to believe in ourselves and think that we can win at Turin. We need to play like we did against Lazio.

“We need to be focused on our play but, most of all, we need to have courage. The ones who fear Juventus always lose.”

The Bosnian was on the periphery under Marco Giampaolo but is confident a top-four finish in Serie A is possible with Pioli at the helm.

“I feel a lot better. But I didn’t feel bad previously either, I just couldn’t give 100 percent and I didn’t want to risk getting a more serious injury.

“I’m sorry for Giampaolo, he is a coach that needs a lot of time to implement his style of football.

“Now with Pioli, we are more determined. I feel his football suits our characteristics better.

“My dream was to play for Milan, not just be there. I have only just achieved my dream.

“It will be so much better when the wins are coming, we need more points to get back up the table.

“We still believe [in the Champions League. We need to believe, because we are Milan. Like I said, we need a big game to wake up.

“We are eight points behind fourth place, which is not a lot. There are still many games to be played.”
