Teun Koopmeiners is ‘excited’ to be a new Atalanta player and says Marten de Roon and Hans Hateboer told him ‘a lot of positive things about the club.’
Atalanta announced the signing of the Dutch midfielder on Monday for a reported €14m fee.
“I’m really excited to be an Atalanta player. I think it’s a club that fits me really well. I also really like the country and the culture,” the former PSV man told Atalanta’s official website.
“Marten de Roon and Hans Hateboer told me a lot of positive things about the Club but also the city and the people. So, I cannot wait to meet you,” he continued.
“I’m very excited to arrive in Bergamo and I can’t wait to put the Nerazzurri jersey on. See you soon! Forza Atalanta!”
Koopmeiners, 23, has signed a contract until 2025.
