Today is Cristiano Ronaldo’s 37th birthday, his first since leaving Juventus for Manchester United last summer.

The Portuguese star was born in Funchal, Madeira on February 5 1985 and he’s become one of the most important footballers of all time. The player has won five Ballon d’Or titles and is often considered to be one of the best players ever, alongside Paris Saint-Germain’s Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo spent three years with Juventus, from 2018 to 2021, and he made 134 appearances in total for the Bianconeri. In that time, he scored 101 goals and provided 22 assists, helping the team to win two league titles, two Supercoppa Italiana titles and a Coppa Italia.

He returned to Manchester United last summer in a deal worth around €15m in total, closing out his time with Juventus. Many suggested that his time in Turin was disappointing due to the fact that the Bianconeri failed to win the Champions League, something he was reportedly brought in to do.
