This is not the first time in recent memory that the two Milanese sides have had the same transfer target, with both teams keen to acquire River Plate’s Julian Alvarez before Premier League giants Manchester City secured his signature last month.
The Nerazzurri are currently in talks with Bremer’s entourage and they believe he’d be the perfect replacement for Stefan de Vrij, who is considering leaving the Lombardy capital in the summer. Valued at €25-30m, Milan are also interested in signing Bremer as they look to finally sign a centre back.
The other player in the sights of both Milanese clubs is Scamacca; the Italian forward has scored nine goals in Serie A this season and Inter have already opened talks for the player as part of a wider deal involving David Frattesi, which would cost €60m in total. The Rossoneri are on the hunt for a new forward and are big fans of Scamacca, but they cannot afford to pay a significant amount for him.
