Miroslav Klose has urged Lazio supporters to be the 12th man during the side's Serie A encounter with Juventus on Saturday.

The Aquile suffered a setback in their quest to qualify for Europe in Week 11, losing 2-1 to Empoli, but the striker is in no doubt that the team are ready to prove their top-six credentials against the champions, providing the fans make their voice heard.

“Juve are a great team, so we have play to the maximum of our capabilities, we have nothing to lose," affirmed Klose to Lazio Style Radio today.

“We know that at home, with our fans, we can have a great match, as they fire us up so much.

“In our previous matches at the Stadio Olimpico, we've heard so much noise from the stands. We have a better chance of beating Juventus if we're all together.

“Europe's a beautiful thing, and we need to qualify. Last year, we experienced playing in front of empty stands, and we did very well. All the players would like the support of the fans.

“We'll take it by each game. The team are equipped to play in Europe but we shall see. It's tough and we'll fight to the end.”

The former Germany international then lavished praise on the training methods of Stefano Pioli, as he feels that the Coach is extracting the most out of his teammates.

“If you train well, you can always play at 100 per cent, it will come. Everyone is running around the pitch, and this is the Lazio that I like.

“Yes, we are without European football at the moment, but I also like to play only on Sundays to give more of myself.

“We train to run always at our peak. This is why I love mister Pioli, because he does what he says. I'm happy with this group.

“A game like the one on Saturday can only be won by the sacrifice of the entire team. Also, we talk regularly. Even in training, if there is something not right, we talk. I always want to understand, whilst I also explain how I see things.

“I like to talk to everyone, not only the youngsters. For them, addressing the mentality makes a difference. You have to make a living as a professional – you don't drink, you must eat right and go to bed early.

“I have always felt healthy. Look at me, I'm always ready to sprint. Again, I talk to everyone, even with Pioli, Mauri and Ledesma, all of whom have so much experience.

“I think we must show everything on Saturday night, not just in training. If we succeed in doing this, we have a chance of winning.”
