Houssine Kharja faces the club he left in January, but has no time for sentiment. “I hope to score a goal for Inter.”

The midfielder made the transfer to San Siro during the mid-season window and has impressed so far.

“I spent a year and a half at Genoa and made lots of friends, so I'm still in contact with Giandomenico Mesto, Miguel Veloso and Rafinha,” he told Inter Channel.

“I spent a year and a half at Genoa and made lots of friends, so I'm still in contact with Giandomenico Mesto, Miguel Veloso and Rafinha,” he told Inter Channel.

“We want to win and for the first time this week we were able to train with Leonardo without interruptions, focusing only on preparing for the game.

“It won't be an easy match, but if we play the way we know how and have the support of our fans, then we can get all three points.

“As for myself, I hope to start the match and to score a goal for Inter.”

Genoa were the underdogs anyway, but even more so considering they are missing Veloso, Antonio Floro Flores, Domenico Criscito and Mattia Destro.

“It won't be a problem for them, as they have some great alternatives and we respect Genoa. All we must do is play like Inter and in that case there is nobody who can stand up to us.”
