Rick Karsdorp did not join the Roma squad in Trigoria last week and now seems set to miss out on the training retreat to Japan, reports detail.

The 27-year-old Dutchman was called up by Jose Mourinho alongside the rest of the Giallorossi squad for a few training sessions in Trigoria before heading off to Asia. Karsdorp was accused of being unprofessional by Mourinho earlier this month and was invited to leave the club in January, creating a tense situation in the Italian capital.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Karsdorp didn’t respond to Mourinho’s initial Roma call up and was also absent for the second training session in Trigoria. The club are preparing to head off to Japan for their training retreat and the Dutchman looks set to miss the trip. He will also be fined by the team.

The 27-year-old now looks destined to leave Roma in the upcoming January transfer window, with initial media reports linking him with a move to Juventus.
