Daichi Kamada’s entourage have reportedly approached Atletico Madrid after Milan decided not to pick up the Japanese forward.

The 26-year-old is currently a free agent after his contract expired with Eintracht Frankfurt at the start of this month.

A move to Milan seemed to be imminent after the two parties agreed to the terms of a deal, but the club have since changed their mind and instead decided to focus on Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Kamada’s entourage have contacted Atletico to offer their client’s services, keen to find him a new club after the deal with Milan collapsed.

The Rossoneri only have one non-EU player slot left in their squad and have decided to fill that with Nigerian winger Chukwueze, who could arrive in the early stages of next week.

During his five years attached to Eintracht Frankfurt, Kamada scored 40 goals and provided 33 assists across 179 appearances for the German side.

  1. Such a shame! AC should have got him instead of Okofor. Granted he is a non-EU but. What is the point of getting Chukwueze when they have a lot of wingers? If AC not, Roma should get him.
