Milan striker Nikola Kalinic looks set to miss the trip to Spal this weekend, having pulled out of training today.

The Croatian has scored four goals this season since his move from Fiorentina, but hasn’t found the back of the net since the 2-2 draw with Benevento on December 3.

Now he has picked up an injury, which will almost certainly see him miss Saturday afternoon’s game.

“Today he didn’t take part in training because he has an inflammation to the adductor region,” Doctor Stefano Mazzoni told Milan TV.

Now he has picked up an injury, which will almost certainly see him miss Saturday afternoon’s game.

“Today he didn’t take part in training because he has an inflammation to the adductor region,” Doctor Stefano Mazzoni told Milan TV.

“It’s particularly difficult and painful, so we decided together to treat it. We’ll evaluate his condition in the coming hours.”

Mazzoni also gave an update on several members of the squad, including Ricardo Rodriguez.

“He’s over the problems he has the other week and he’s back training with the group.

“Andrea Conti is taking part in small bits of training, Gattuso spoke well in his Press conference about that.

“You have to bear in mind that these little bits of training are for the lad to get used to tackles and knocks, but we still have to think about his physical condition and the timing, with Gattuso himself putting it at a month.

“We share that position, but we have to point out that he’ll have medical tests at Milan Lab to assess his condition.”
