Ricky Kaka reveals he is playing “with a smile on my face” at Milan after earning a standing ovation at Celtic Park.

“It was fundamental for us to win and we’re so happy,” he told Milan Channel after a 3-0 Champions League victory in Glasgow.

He scored the opening goal, was inspirational and received a standing ovation from the Celtic Park crowd.

“I have scored 98 goals now and hope to reach 100 before Christmas. We saw a real team unit and everyone could see this team can play good football.

“Am I a leader? A team has many leaders and not just the captain, who is Riccardo Montolivo, but also veterans like Christian Abbiati and Nigel De Jong. I may well be one of those leaders at this moment.”

Milan will qualify for the Champions League knockouts if they avoid a home defeat to Ajax.

“It is all in our hands and depends only on us now,” added Kaka. “We really needed this victory, because the run of negative results was starting to irritate us.

“I am happy here, as I am at a club where people love me and this is why I play with a smile on my face. I hope this win can represent a turning point out of this difficult moment.”
