Juventus are reportedly in talks with Atletico Madrid to sign Alvaro Morata on a new loan deal and things are seemingly moving positively.

The 29-year-old Spaniard returned to the Spanish capital after a good two-year loan spell in Turin, but it seems unlikely that he’ll become a regular in Diego Simeone’s squad again, despite rumours from Spain indicating otherwise. With the World Cup just around the corner, Morata wants consistent minutes in order to prove his qualities and justify a call-up.

As reported by TMW, new talks have been opened between Morata’s entourage and Juventus, with Massimiliano Allegri keen to keep the centre forward with a new loan deal. The Spaniard plays a key part in Allegri’s plans in Turin and he doesn’t want to lose a flexible offensive option.

Atletico Madrid are gradually lowering their demands considering the lack of convincing offers from other suitors. The poor relationship between Morata and Simeone is no secret and they’re willing to send him out on loan to Turin once again. This time, however, an obligation to buy clause could be attached.

  1. Morata is a good back up option to Dusan imo, as he’s familiar w Juve’s principles and structure! He can also play LW, so good option if Di Maria needs rest. Good player imo
