Juventus director Federico Cherubini is planning to meet with Kalidou Koulibaly’s agent, according to reports in Italy.

The Senegal defender appears to be one of the defensive targets outlined should Matthijs de Ligt leave the club the summer.

And Tuttosport report Cherubini is expected to soon meet agent Fali Ramadani in Milan.

Ramadani also represents Fiorentina centre-back Nikola Milenković, whose contract expires in June 2023, but the report suggests Koulibaly would be manager Massimiliano Allegri’s first choice.

Koulibaly’s contract also runs out at the end of the upcoming season and, at 31, Juve believe there are the ingredients for a reasonable deal being reached, the report adds, though Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has set an asking price of €40 million.

Koulibaly is one of a trio of Napoli stalwarts who could leave the club this summer.

Former captain Lorenzo Insigne left at the end of the previous campaign to join Major League Soccer side Toronto FC.

Meanwhile, doubts remain over the future of forward Dries Mertens.

  1. Selling the Dutch Phil Jones is good as he has not improved in 3 years, and having PhD Max is a road block to progression. However going for a defender nearly 10 years older is the Juve way, but he might not be old enough for the ancient one. Either way Juve will under sell de Ligt, and over buy for Koulibaly. 4th spot tripleta is secure either way.

  2. Lord Allegri, where is your trademark “CALMAAA” haha. It’s hilarious. You’re actually juve fan who couldn’t stand mad max right haha

  3. KK already said like a 100 times he’s not going to juve, this is some clickbait nonsense. His agent is also the agent of half the players in italy.
