Juventus will reportedly sit down with Barcelona in the coming days to discuss a possible deal for Franck Kessie, reports suggest.

The Bianconeri will play the Blaugrana in a pre-season friendly at the Levi’s Stadium in California on July 23, a match that could be more than just a chance to warm-up ahead of the coming campaign.

Barcelona need to reduce their wage bill this summer and Kessie is one of their highest earners, a frustration considering that he only started seven La Liga matches last season.

As reported by La Stampa via Calciomercato.com, Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli believes Kessie would be the perfect option to bolster Massimiliano Allegri’s squad this summer, so talks will be held with Barcelona in the coming days.

The 26-year-old midfielder is reportedly less keen on the idea, however. He isn’t interested in returning to Serie A and would prefer to stay in Catalonia, but should he be forced to leave then he’d rather go to the Premier League.
