Juventus will meet with Sassuolo tomorrow to discuss Manuel Locatelli, confident they can beat competition from Arsenal.

The Italy international midfielder has long been linked with the Bianconeri, although they have so far held back on intensive negotiations, waiting until his experience at UEFA EURO 2020 had concluded.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com, Juve will have their second meeting with Sassuolo on Friday.

Although Arsenal have reportedly offered €40m in cash, Locatelli has his heart set on Juventus and will push to stay within Serie A.

Juve hope to bid circa €30m plus one or more youth team players to get the deal over the line.

Another option would be to propose a similar format to the one that brought Federico Chiesa to Turin from Fiorentina, in other words a two-season loan with obligation to buy.

Following news that Arthur Melo will require surgery and could be out for two months, Locatelli becomes even more of a necessary purchase for Max Allegri’s Juve midfield.
