Juventus representatives are expected to meet Angel Di Maria’s agent in London tomorrow.
La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper and Romeo Agresti report the winger’s agent will meet the Old Lady directors in London tomorrow when Italy and Argentina face each other at Wembley Stadium in the Finalissima.
Di Maria is available as a free agent after the end of his contract with PSG and Juventus have prepared a €7m-a-year offer. It could last one year or come with an option for a further campaign in Turin.
The Argentinean is convinced about joining Juventus, but the financial details of the agreement will be decisive given that Juventus can’t use the Growth Decree to get a 50% cut on the player’s gross salary. The contract’s length will also be discussed during the meeting which, according to Gazzetta, could be decisive.
Di Maria wants to play at least one more year in Europe and then end his playing career in Argentina, so Juventus are also trying to see the full picture and understand his motivations before signing the 34-year-old.
