Juventus confirm Denis Zakaria will remain out of action for approximately 20 days because of a thigh injury.

The Swiss international was forced off the pitch during the Bianconeri’s 3-2 win over Empoli on Saturday. He underwent medical examinations at the J Medical this morning and the Serie A giants have now confirmed the outcome of the exams.

The Bianconeri have announced that Zakaria suffered a low degree lesion in the adductor of his left thigh and will remain out of action for about 20 days.

The 25-year-old moved to Turin in a €4.5m deal from Borussia Monchengladbach in the January transfer window. He scored his first goal on his debut against Hellas Verona earlier in February.

Calciomercato.com also reports that Paulo Dybala will likely miss Wednesday’s trip to Florence for the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-finals against Fiorentina. The Argentinean striker was ruled out of Saturday’s match against Empoli and Massimiliano Allegri doesn’t seem willing to take any risk with La Joya, who has missed 11 games due to physical problems this season.

  1. Yes, I watched yesterday Chelsea-Liverpool. They played 120 minutes with incredible intensity and nobody injured. What do they do different? There must be something they do wrong in Italy.

  2. 100% totally agree. I’ve never seen a club that suffers so many strains, pulled muscles and the such in the same area.

  3. Overtraining is a real thing. It has been acknowledged in every professional sport. Maybe we are behind in that realization.

  4. This sums up juve season as a whole
Allegri also must take part of the blame, his training exercise must be looked into.how do you have a whole first team squad out with injury.lets just hope valhovic is not next
