La Gazzetta Dello Sport reports that Juventus and Italy star Federico Chiesa will cut short his holidays during the World Cup break, returning to training one week before his teammates.

Chiesa is currently on international duty with Italy and should have a two-week break after Sunday’s friendly meeting with Austria.

Juventus players are expected to be back at Continassa on December 6 to resume training before the second part of the campaign, but Chiesa will turn up at the club’s training ground one week earlier.

The ex-Fiorentina winger has just made his comeback from a severe knee injury, making three appearances in November, two in Serie A, and one in the Champions League.

Unless his programs suddenly change, Chiesa is expected to return to Continassa at the beginning of December to follow a personalised training schedule and be ready to work with his teammates when players not involved in the World Cup return.

The 25-year-old scored 18 goals in 64 appearances with the Old Lady since his move from Fiorentina in October 2020.
