Federico Chiesa is close to reaching full fitness after his recent cruciate ligament rupture and Juventus’ upcoming friendly against Arsenal will be an important test for the Italian.

The 25-year-old winger suffered the serious knee injury during a league win over Roma back in January, leaving him sidelined for over 10 months as he slowly worked on his recovery. Chiesa made a few cameo appearances in Juventus’ final games of 2022 and he’s desperate to hit the ground running in 2023.

As highlighted by Corriere di Torino, Chiesa has continued showing positive signs in training recently and he’s gearing up for his first real test in Juventus’ upcoming friendly against Arsenal, scheduled for December 17 at the Emirates Stadium.

Should things go well, the 25-year-old Italian winger will be ready to become a regular starter again under Massimiliano Allegri in Turin. The return of the former Fiorentina man will give the Bianconeri a key boost in the second half of the season.
