Federico Chiesa is in the spotlight following Juventus‘ poor results and while Tuttosport confirms Liverpool’s interest, Gazzetta notes that the Italy winger ‘is no longer young.’

Chiesa’s Juventus contract expires in June 2025, so the Bianconeri must sit down with their star to plan a long-term future together or let him leave at the end of the season.

Chiesa is a big talking point in Italy, as he’s been unable to contribute with goals and assists over the last few weeks.

He started his first game in 2024 in a 1-0 loss against Udinese on Monday but was subbed off in the second half after producing just one shot on target.

Wednesday’s printed edition of Tuttosport on page two claims Chiesa and coach Max Allegri are not on the same page in terms of tactical decisions and temper.

Chiesa has mainly been used as a support striker by Allegri this season and despite a promising start, the 26-year-old has only scored six goals in 20 appearances this term, spending only 1328 minutes on the pitch.

Chiesa has been dealing with recurrent injury setbacks this season which forced him out of action in nine games at a club level.

He had suffered a severe knee injury in January 2022 but returned to action over a year ago.

Gazzetta analyses Chiesa’s performances this season and his potential long-term future at the club, warning that he will turn 27 in October, so ‘he is no longer young.’

‘For years, we understandably saw him as the best representative of Italy’s new generation alongside Donnarumma and others. One of the best young players. However, in the meantime, Chiesa has grown up, almost without realising it,’ wrote Alessandro Vocalelli.

  1. Yes, please go, please please. I’m tired of seeing you bump into opposing players trying to dribble your own self in the process.
