Transfer expert Matteo Moretto confirms Denzel Dumfries is likely to leave Inter at the end of the season, but the Nerazzurri want at least €20m for the Dutch right wing-back.

Dumfries’ Inter contract runs out in June 2025, but talks over a new deal at the Stadio Meazza have led nowhere so far.

Football Italia transfer expert Matteo Moretto has told Caught Offside that both Aston Villa and Manchester United wanted the 27-year-old in the past and that more Premier League clubs are enquiring about the Nerazzurri defender.

Dumfries is ‘much closer to leaving this summer than he is to staying,’ said Moretto.

The Italian transfer expert added that Inter’s asking price would probably be around €20m given that Dumfries’ contract expires in less than 18 months.

April and May will be crucial months to determine the future of the Inter defender who has scored nine goals in 117 appearances with the Nerazzurri.

Dumfries started the last three Serie A games on the bench while January signing Tajon Buchanan could be his long-term replacement at the Stadio Meazza.
