Juventus sent a message of support after Adelaide United midfielder Josh Cavallo comes out as gay. ‘Proud of you, Josh’.
The Bianconeri sent a message on Twitter to support the 21-year-old Adelaide United player, who comes out as a gay footballer in an emotional video on social media.
“I’m a footballer, and I’m gay,” he said. “I’m tired of this double life.”
Cavallo is the only known gay professional footballer actively playing the game.
Juventus posted his video on their official Twitter account and said: “Proud of you, Josh. Differences make the difference.”
Serie A side Fiorentina also posted a message of support for the Adelaide player and his quotes from the video.
