The young midfielder was believed to be close to a Serie A move last season, as his contract with the French champions was winding down.

However, Rabiot ended up signing an extension with PSG, tying him to the Parisian side until June 2019.

This season has not brought first-team football for the 20-year-old, who has made just one Ligue 1 start this season – in which he was sent off after 28 minutes.

Calciomercato reports that Roma and Juventus have been alerted to his possible availability, and have made tentative enquiries to PSG.

However, they would likely face competition for Rabiot, who is also believed to be of interest to Chelsea and Arsenal.
