Juventus have held a second meeting with Matija Popovic as they look to beat Manchester City to the talented teenager’s signature.

The 18-year-old Serbian forward is currently a free agent after his contract expired with Partizan Belgrade last month, and seemed to be a step away from joining Milan earlier this week. Things collapsed regarding agent commissions and Juventus emerged.

Manchester City have long been interested in Popovic, putting the pressure on Juventus to try and close out a deal before the Premier League giants can.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Juventus directors Cristiano Giuntoli and Giovanni Manna met with Popovic’s entourage today, their second meeting, as push to try and agree a deal. Part of the entourage are the same who represent Matias Soule, further facilitating talks.

The Bianconeri are now a step away from snapping up the 18-year-old, just needing to agree the agent commissions. Things could be finalised in the coming days, with Popovic keen on the idea of playing for Juventus.
