The Prisma civil justice trial into Juventus financial irregularities has been delayed until at least October, as a different court must decide where the trial will be based.

This is separate from the sporting justice system and points penalties and therefore also moves at the pace of the Italian courts.

Juve have seen their appeal partially accepted to have the trial moved from Turin to either Rome or Milan.

Italian courts have a system similar to the United States of America, where different regions have their own approaches.

The GUP (judge of the preliminary hearing) Marco Picco has ruled that the territorial competence of the trial must be decided by the Cassazione, effectively the Italian Supreme Court.

While the time is given for that to be decided, the Prisma preliminary hearing has been postponed until October 26.

The magistrates had charged Juventus President Andrea Agnelli, Pavel Nedved, Fabio Paratici, Marco Re, Stefano Bertola, Stefano Cerrato, Cesare Gabasio, Maurizio Arrivabene, Francesco Roncaglio, Enrico Vellano, Stefania Boschetti and Roberto Grossi on December 1 with charges including falsified balance sheets and hindering an investigation.
