Juventus know that luring Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric away from White Hart Lane won't be easy, but will continue their efforts to do so.

Earlier this week, Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta admitted with regard to Modric that "we are following him."

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp claims the Croatia international playmaker is "unsellable because he is on another planet."

However, Il Corriere dello Sport understands Juventus won't give up hope and plan to meet Tottenham's directors in the middle of May.

Where things may get even more complicated is Modric's status as a non-EU player.

Italian clubs are only allowed to sign one per season and although a deal for Lyon's Brazil international wing-back Michel Bastos has not been tied up yet, it's thought that he will fill that spot.

Juventus are hoping he will be able to get French citizenship after playing in the country for five years so the one non-EU place is available for a player like Modric.
