Juventus are ready for Lille centre back Tiago Djalo to arrive in Turin to undergo his medicals before completing his transfer.

The 23-year-old Portuguese defender is joining the Bianconeri in a deal worth €3.5m with €3.5m in add-ons plus a 10% future resale clause. His contract expires with Lille at the end of the season, allowing the Old Lady to swoop in for a low-cost deal.

Djalo has not played since early April, when he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture, but is expected to return in the coming weeks to add some more cover to Juventus’ backline.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Djalo is expected to arrive in Turin on Tuesday or Wednesday next week, allowing him to undergo his medicals before penning a four-year contract with Juventus.

The Portuguese defender briefly spent six months of his career in Italy, joining Milan’s Primavera squad in January 2019 for €1m from Sporting before leaving for Lille that summer for around €4m.
