Juventus won’t replace Weston McKennie if the USMNT international joins Leeds United, according to Sky Sport Italia.

Talks between Juve and Leeds are ongoing, while McKennie has already given his green light to join the Premier League side.

Sky Sport’s Italia Luca Marchetti claims the Bianconeri would not replace McKennie in January if they reach an agreement with Leeds.

With Paul Pogba expected to return to action soon, the youths Fabio Miretti and Nicolò Fagioli getting regular playing time, plus Adrien Rabiot and Leandro Paredes, Juventus believe they have enough midfielders to complete the season.

For this reason, they are not planning to replace McKennie if he joins Leeds in the winter transfer window.

The American midfielder joined the Bianconeri on an initial loan deal with an option to buy from Schalke 04 in 2020. They made his move permanent for €18m in 2021.

McKennie has scored 13 goals in 96 appearances at the Allianz Stadium.
