Sky Sport Italia reports Torino have raised their offer for Ivan Ilić who would like to remain in Serie A rather than join Olympique Marseille.

The Ligue 1 side were leading the race to sign the product of Manchester City academy, currently under contract with Serie A strugglers Verona.

Marseille offered €15m for Ilic and would allow Verona to keep the player on loan until the end of the season.

However, according to Sky Sport Italia, Torino have now raised their offer by €3m and hope to secure deals for both Ilic and Isak Hien.

The Italian broadcasters have not revealed the fee put on the table by Torino for both Verona players.

The Granata want Ilic in January but would keep Hien on loan at the Stadio Bentegodi until the summer.

According to the report, Ilic wants to stay in Serie A and would prefer a move to Torino over Marseille. It remains to be seen if Torino’s offer is good enough for Verona.
