According to news agency ANSA, there are more details being worked out for the calendar, including location, so southern cities – where the temperature gets much hotter – will not be hosting matches in the earlier slot.

In order to ensure fairness, they will also try not to schedule any team playing more than two early kick-offs.

Over half the remaining 124 matches are likely to be scheduled for 21.30 local time (20.30 in the UK), around 50 at 19.15 and only 10 at 17.15.

ANSA and Tuttosport have also calculated that the Scudetto showdown between Juventus and Lazio will probably be reserved for a primetime slot, Monday July 20 at 21.30 local time.

The 2019-20 Serie A season is on course to conclude on the weekend of August 1 and 2.
