Massimiliano Allegri received some good news at Continassa as Federico Chiesa joined his Juventus teammates in training, but Adrien Rabiot will have to wait a little while longer.

The Bianconeri dropped points for the fifth time this season when they drew Empoli 1-1 on the weekend, a result that allowed Inter to return to the top of the league table with a game in hand, pilling on the pressure ahead of the coming Derby d’Italia.

Injuries have been a frustrating factor for Allegri and Juventus in recent weeks, with stars Chiesa and Rabiot both sidelined with issues. Mattia De Sciglio is also still absent following his cruciate ligament suffered last year.

Football Italia understands that Chiesa returned to squad training with his Juventus teammates today, putting him on track to take part in the coming Derby d’Italia with Inter.

Weston McKennie was also present in training, taking part following his minor ankle concern in the loss to Empoli. Rabiot will have to wait until Thursday to join his teammates, however, as he finishes recovering from a calf injury.
