Juventus want to sign Alvaro Morata on a permanent deal and they’ve come up with a plan amid serious interest from Xavi’s Barcelona.

The 29-year-old Spanish forward joined the Bianconeri on a two-year loan deal from Atletico Madrid in September 2020 and whilst his time in Turin has been a little inconsistent, coach Massimiliano Allegri wants to bet on the former Chelsea man and so the club will look to make a deal permanent.

As reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, Morata’s loan deal has a €35m buy option attached, but Juventus have no interest in paying such a high figure. The Bianconeri have started talks with Atletico in order to try and lower the cost.

Juventus are willing to pay a maximum of €15m plus add-ons for the Spanish forward, but they’ll have to keep a wary eye on Barcelona, who are also keen to acquire the player.

Morata’s contract expires with Atletico in 2023, so if he doesn’t renew his deal, they may be forced to lower their price a little in order to complete a sale.
