According to La Nazione, Fiorentina want to buy Alvaro Odriozola on a permanent deal in the summer, but Real Madrid want at least €20-25m.

The Spain international has been playing on a regular basis at the Stadio Artemio Franchi this term, collecting 20 appearances across all competitions.

Odriozola joined the Tuscans on a dry loan deal until June 2022 last summer, but his performances are convincing club directors to sign the player permanently at the end of the current campaign.

However, according to local paper La Nazione, Real Madrid’s asking price for the 26-year-old is €20-25m. It remains to be seen if the Tuscans will match the Merengues’ asking price, but according to the report, Odriozola is open to remaining in Florence over the next few years and hopes that the two parties reach an agreement over the next few months.

The former Bayern Munich loanee has settled in well in the capital and spoke about his time in Florence in an interview with Fiorentina’s website.

“Fiorentina means passion, it means the purple colour,” he said.

“Fiorentina is a way of life. Above all, it means representing one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

“With President Commisso it is a big family, with his way of dealing with the players there is a great human and family spirit. The fans drive me crazy. I love their passion for Fiorentina. They give you that extra boost, they make you fly.”
