Following reports yesterday that Napoli were prepared to try and hijack the deal, Tuttosport believes there is still considerable distance between the two parties.

The Red Devils continue to insist on €20m for the Italian international, while Juve won’t go above €15m, which would be comprised of €12m and another €3m in bonuses.

Darmian has already agreed a four-year contract worth €2.5m per season, so a deal should be easy to conclude if the two clubs can agree.

At the moment there appears to be a deadlock though, with United refusing to drop their asking price.
