The FIGC court has handed Juventus a 15-point deduction as a result of the capital gains case, a ruling that has shaken the world of Italian football.

Prosecutor Giuseppe Chine asked for proceedings to be reopened against the Bianconeri following new information from the Prisma investigation, the Turin Public Prosecutor’s investigation into the club’s alleged usage of inflated player transfer values and secret wage payments in the early stages of the COVID pandemic.

On Friday, Chine requested that Juventus be handed a nine-point penalty for their financial malpractice. That evening, the decision came to hand the club a 15-point deduction, as well as bans for Andrea Agnelli, Fabio Paratici, Federico Cherubini, Pavel Nedved and Maurizio Arrivabene.

Paratici received the severest ban, 30-months. Agnelli and Arrivabene were handed a two-year ban, Cherubini was given a 16-month suspension and Nedved an eight-month ban.

The other involved clubs – Sampdoria, Empoli, Genoa, Parma, Pisa, Pescara, Pro Vercelli and Novara – were acquitted.

The Old Lady released a statement in response to the ruling, confirming their intention to appeal to CONI’s Collegio di Garanzia and calling the decision ‘unjust.’

The FIGC court has also requested that the bans be extended to UEFA and FIFA, putting Paratici’s role as Tottenham sporting director at risk.

  1. 15 points is a merely a slap on the wrist, it should be at least 15 Championship titles that Robentus should give back.

  2. Well, they want to run around and claim they are the best team in Italy (which they are aren’t) that means also accepting the penalty and not crying about it like little *#@!s as usual.

  3. This sentence will be revoked by TAS at the end of the day anyway. Will we get back the 2 points from salernitana too btw?
