Massimiliano Allegri will have to do without both Paulo Dybala and Daniele Rugani for Juventus’ upcoming match against Villarreal.

The Argentinian forward underwent some tests at J-Medical today and the results were mostly positive, with no major injury being shown. He was taken off during the 1-1 derby against Torino on Friday and it seems as if the substitution came just in time, stopping any further problem.

Despite this, as highlighted by Gianluca Di Marzio, Dybala is set to be rested for Juventus’ upcoming Champions League knockout game against Villarreal next week, forcing Allegri to find another solution up front. It’s likely that he’ll be available for next weekend’s match against Empoli.

Rugani also underwent some tests at J-Medical today. The Italian defender suffered a muscle injury during the warm-up to the Derby della Mole and he’s also expected to miss Tuesday’s game against the Spanish side, with Danilo likely to start in his place.

  1. So we will be missing Chiellini, Bonucci, Rugani, Chiesa, Dybala & possibly Bernardeschi. Not looking good for us.

  2. Beginning to look like Villarreal might be favourites for this one. Will probably need to put Cuadrado up on the right wing. Vlahovic will need service.

  3. Its fantastic that we not extended his contract, its was just question of time when he will be broken little boy

  4. Just get rid of him and let it be done. At this point I do not even care if Marotta sends him a taxi to go to Inter. He is past his best, plays too deep, does not show enough effort (even when wearing the armband) and his production has dried up.

  5. Dybala OUT! He was injured against Ajax, Lyon and Porto, now this! Completely useless. What a shame of a captain.

  6. Skillful player.. but with so many injuries? They cant give him a huge contract. Juventus need players who are skillful, determined and FIT.
The UCL is really important for Juve. No captain, no use. Totally reliant on Cuadrado and Morata now to supply the bullets for Vlahovic.

  7. I’d rather have Cuadrado down the right wing than dybala . at least Cuadrado does some good crosses for Velahovic so he won’t have to collect the ball at midfield. Allegri OUT plz

  8. Dybala out?????? You guys are nuts. Until you have a replacement for him then he should stay. Extend his contact and then bring in Zaniolo. If he stays fit while Zaniolo shines then sell him.
