Morata’s agent Juanma Lopez has reportedly met Juventus directors before their Champions League clash against Villarreal yesterday.

Morata’s two-year loan in Turin expires in June and the Old Lady seems unwilling to make his move permanent for €35m, the sum agreed with Atletico Madrid two years ago when Morata returned to Turin. The striker is happy at the Allianz Stadium and during a pre-match press conference on Monday, he said that he would never leave Juventus if it were up to him.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus chiefs and Lopez didn’t discuss the details of Morata’s future in Turin, which is something they will do over the next few weeks.

The Serie A giants are open to keeping the Spaniard in Turin but only for a lower fee. Juventus have already paid €20m for the striker’s two-year loan and Morata doesn’t seem to be in Diego Simeone’s plans for the future. His contract at the Wanda Metropolitano expires in June 2023.

  1. If he wants a new contract, he sure as hell didnt show it last night. Two good shooting chances and neither were on target. He must hit the target, or he can check back and play it to Vlahovic who is very likely to score. Locatelli and Cuadrado were the other villains who smashed it over the bar
