Juventus had already been linked with Memphis Depay last season and look set to try again, as he is not in Barcelona’s plans.

The Netherlands international was mentioned as a possible reinforcement for Max Allegri’s side last summer when he left Olympique Lyonnais as a free agent, but he opted for Barcelona, where he would reunite with coach Ronald Koeman.

However, when Koeman was fired in October 2021, things rapidly went wrong for Depay too and he fell down the pecking order.

He still managed to make 38 competitive appearances in the 2021-22 campaign, scoring 13 goals and providing two assists.

Mundo Deportivo now report he has been told to find himself another club and Juventus are among those interested.

The 28-year-old is only under contract with the Blaugrana until June 2023, but the asking price is still in the region of €20m.

Milan, Inter and Napoli would also be potentially interested in Serie A, although likely only on loan, with Tottenham Hotspur another contender in the Premier League.

10 thought on “Juventus back in for Barcelona outcast Depay”
  1. Bankrupt Barca want the money so they can play soccer a little longer before they declare…
    Juve just overpaid for Bremer so why not ask them for $20 million.

  2. Noooooo he’s not juve quality, he’s good enough for clubs like tottenham ac milan, arsenal , b dortmund.

    We need to purchase zaniola

  3. This is perfect. PhD Max will be sending missionaries to Catalunya not just to sound out Depay, but to spread the gospel of the reverse tiki taka in diguise better known Ancient Ball, an old Italian past time he has resurrected where the round object takes 300 years to orbit the sun. Barca might give them a discount and in turn Depay gets Pogba, Tik Tok and a £15M carrot.

  4. Got him for free, got 13 goals from him, sell him for an inflated price to a club desperate to get back to winning ways. Clever.

    @MOHAMMED very funny LOL
