The seminar has been held at numerous Serie A, B and Lega Pro clubs throughout the season.

Today was Juve’s turn to attend with players, coaching staff, medics and directors.

It was run by Marcello Presilla, the Italian lawyer representing Sportradar AG, the UEFA partner that monitors unusual betting patterns to spot potential fixes.

During the meeting, as described by the official Juventus website, they were told how to identify fixers and deal with their potential use of bribery, threats and blackmail.

“Juventus have always promoted the values of sporting ethics in their daily work with the first team and youth academy,” said director general Giuseppe Marotta.

“Today’s meeting, organised at the Juventus Training Center in Vinovo, represents an important moment of analysis and awareness for the players on aspects relevant to protecting the integrity of football.

“The themes discussed in the workshop reaffirm the importance of the values of fairness, key issues in the important formation process the players are periodically involved in.”
