Galatasaray sporting director Cenk Ergün confirms Juventus asked for playmaker Wesley Sneijder.
The Bianconeri were linked with the Dutch international both in the summer and last January, but the former Inter midfielder remained in Turkey.
“Yes, we spoke,” Ergün told Sky when asked about the Old Lady’s interest.
“But it was right for him to remain with us. He’s happy in Istanbul, and he’s a very important part of our team.”

Sneijder helped Gala to a League and Cup double in Turkey last season, with 14 goals and seven assists in all competitions.
