Juventus have confirmed Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United for €15m plus €8m in bonuses, generating a ‘negative economic impact of approximately €14m for 2020-21.’
The Portuguese striker left Turin on Friday and, on the same day, Manchester United announced his return to Old Trafford.
Ronaldo had joined the Bianconeri in 2018 and scored 101 goals in 134 appearances while in Turin.
The 36-year-old underwent his medicals yesterday and Juventus have now confirmed the official figures of the deal.
“Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that an agreement with Manchester United FC Ltd for the definitive disposal of the registration rights of the player Dos Santos Aveiro Cristiano Ronaldo has been reached for a consideration of € 15.0 million payable in five financial years, which might be increased, up to a maximum of € 8.0 million, upon achievement of specific performance objectives over the duration of the employment contract with the player,” the official statement read.
“This operation generates a negative economic impact of approximately € 14.0 million on the 2020/2021 financial year due to the partial write-down of the net book value of the player’s registration rights.”

The Bianconeri bid their farewell to Cristiano Ronaldo on their official website.

Not only that, with the aforementioned title of top scorer, he also become the first to sit on the throne of the top goalscorers in Serie A, LaLiga and the Premier League.
“The unforgettable moments experienced together were many. We could recite them and relive them, but it would not help, because everyone has their own special memory linked to CR7. Juventus had already signed Brazilian striker Kaio Jorge before Ronaldo’s arrival in Turin and are expected to announce the return of Moise Kean on loan with an option to buy from Everton.
we had to get him out before he did permanent damage, but United could have paid that up front; they both absolutely fleeced us.
It says a lot for Juventus to have effectively take a massive loss just to get him out.
What happened to the hierarchy at the club, 10 years ago they started something special that resulted in back to back titles and CL finals, it’s all become a shambles!
