Angel Di Maria’s move to Juventus is increasingly unlikely, so the Bianconeri have targeted Sassuolo star Domenico Berardi, but José Mourinho’s Roma are also interested.

The Italy international is available for circa €30m in the summer and both Serie A giants are considering a move to sign him in the summer.

Juventus set Di Maria deadline as Barcelona loom

Juventus are on the lookout for at least one new attacking winger, given that both Federico Bernardeschi and Paulo Dybala will leave the club at the end of their contracts on June 30.

The Serie A giants had been in talks with Di Maria, but multiple reports in Italy suggest that the negotiation to bring the Argentinean to Turin are getting complicated as Barcelona have also joined the race for the former PSG star.

Roma are also interested, but according to Il Corriere dello Sport, they’ll be able to make an offer only if Nicolò Zaniolo leaves. The 22-year-old hasn’t extended his contract expiring in 2024 and the Giallorossi could sell him for a suitable offer in the summer.

Zaniolo is another potential target for the Old Lady, but Roma want at least €40-50m. Filip Kostic is a cheaper option as the Croat could leave Eintracht Frankfurt for circa €15m.

  1. Berardi will be another Bernardeschi. They both shine in small clubs but have not the quallity enough for a big one.

Juventus needs more speed in the bands and wingers like Moussa Diaby and Heug Min Son are faster players. Only Chiesa as a winger is not enough.

Zaniolo is better as attacking midfielder than a winger.

  2. Berardi is a one trick pony always trying the same move from right to left on the pitch and then striking it with his left foot, which never seems to find the back of the net. He’s predictable and not creative and couldn’t even hit a wide open target in front of goal against N, Macedonia in the playoffs. He sucks and Juventus would be wasting money.
