Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri promoted four U23 players to the senior squad, but none of them is likely to start against Sampdoria tonight.

The Bianconeri host Samp at the Allianz Stadium in a Coppa Italia Round of 16 tie, which is played on a one-leg basis.

It kicks off at 20.00 UK time.

Allegri, who is suspended for tonight’s match, has called up Koni De Winter, Fabio Miretti, Marley Aké and Matias Soulé.

De Winter and Kaio Jorge were expected to start, but according to the latest reports, Allegri will field a more experienced XI which will also feature Danilo, who has just returned to action.

The Brazilian will play his first game in almost two months. He had missed the last nine Serie A matches due to a severe adductor injury.

As per Romeo Agresti and Sky Sport Italia, Allegri will start Alvaro Morata and Dejan Kulusevski up front with Danilo and Daniele Rugani at centre-back.

Matthijs de Ligt, Moise Kean, Federico Bernardeschi, Leonardo Bonucci, Aaron Ramsey and Federico Chiesa remain on the sidelines.

Bernardeschi, Chiesa and Bonucci are injured, the former Arsenal star has COVID, while De Ligt and Kean are suspended.
